Scientific and General Information
ORAL COMMUNICATIONS The deadline for abstract submission is 20th March, 2007. The abstract must be submitted in English to the following Internet web-site: www.adriacongrex.it/cardiologiaearte2007. The font size should be 12 points, Times New Roman font (maximum 2,485 characters). The presentation of an abstract requires the registration of at least one of the authors. Adria Congrex will send the official confirmation to authors by March 2007. CME Program Italian Ministry of Health CME (Continuing Medical Education) accreditation will also be applied for. Certificates of Attendance Certificates of attendance will be issued to all registered participants who will expressly make request atthe Secretariat Desk at the end of the Congress. CONGRESS VENUE Auditorium Policlinico MultiMedica Via Milanese, 300 - 20099 Sesto San Giovanni (Milano) ACCESS: - 20 minutes from the city center; - 56 km from Malpensa Airport; - 26 km from Linate Airport; - 7 km from Milano Centrale Train Station. INFORMATION DESK An information desk will be available at the Congress Venue for: - Flight and train reservations and information; - Hotel booking; - Transfer service and car rental; - Pre-post social program. Official Language The official language of the Congress is English. All sessions will be translated into Italian. Exhibition A technical, pharmaceutical and publication exhibition will take place at the Congress Venue throughout the scientific works. HOW TO REACH MILAN Access by Air "Linate" and “Malpensa” Intercontinental Airports provide travellers with modern services and facilities. Taxi Time: 30-40 minutes from Linate and 1 h. from Malpensa. Taxis are available at the international arrivals. Use only white cabs with taxi sign on car roof (beware of unauthorized soliciting). Access by train Milano have excellent Intercity service links to every major town in Europe. Milano Central Station, the main railway station located right in the centre of the city, provides swift service to and from all points in the country. Access by Road Italy has 6,400 km of motorways developing a technologically updated network, which reaches all regions of the country. Milano can be easily reached by road from the motorwaynetwork. More important motorway reach Milano: "Autostrada del Sole - A1", the longest Italian motorway going from the North to the South of the country. Motorway A4 goes fromVenezia to Torino. HOW TO GET AROUND MILANO Milano is a city rich of monuments, artistic places and other beauties. Most of these are located in the historical centre, that is the centre of the city. The best way to visit Milano is on foot: churches, squares and monuments of the historical centre are rather near. Public Transportation Tickets of different time limit and itinerary are available at ATM counters, news-stands, tabacconists and automatic ticket dispensers machines, but not in buses. All tickets must be validated at the beginning of the first trip either at underground station or on buses. Please note that tickets must be bought before boarding the bus. Taxis Licensed taxis are white or yellow, have a name, an identification number, and are equipped with a taxi-meter. Do not trust people who approach you offering private taxi service. In the city center there are a number of taxi. A taxi can be called at the following telephone numbers: 02.8585 – 02.4040 – 02.6969. Please remember that in this case the taxi-meter is turned on when the taxi picks up the call. Because of the frequent changes made to the rates, you should read carefully the information shown inside the taxi. Subway The 3 line system has an X shape, with both lines meeting at the Central Railway Station. The metro operates from 06.00 until 24.00 hrs. every 3-4 minutes during rush hours, every 5-6 during the day and every 8-10 minutes early morning and late evening.
